DESCRIPTION and APPLICATION
Water and Light Mosaics are made in the USA. They are available in 13
colors and 3 finishes (Clear, Frosted and Iridescent) and are a through-color,
cast product made in part from recycled glass. Water and Light Mosaics
can be used in any residential or commercial location: interior or exterior,
on walls, counters, floors, in kitchens, baths, in swimming pools, spas
or fireplace surrounds.
Water and Light Mosaics are sold by the sheet (11 5/8” x 11 5/8”)
and are 3/8” thick (nominal). Beautiful when used alone, they are
also a perfect compliment to stone, ceramic and metal tile. Water and
Light Mosaics convey the bright, living qualities of light rippling across
water. They reflect and refract color wherever they are installed creating
a unique, artistic feel. Use lighting to highlight your installation and
bring the true beauty of this product into your home. With light directed
from a 45 degree angle, our iridescent tile comes fully to life.
INSTALLATION
Water and Light Mosaics are mounted on Kraft paper. The paper faces up
during installation and removes easily when wet. The glue is water soluble,
so residue wipes away cleanly.
We recommend that you use white thin-set mortar with 100% latex additive.
Simply apply the thin-set to your floor or wall, smooth out the trowel
marks (Water and Light Mosaics are translucent and will show trowel marks.)
and lay the tile with the paper facing up. Water and Light Mosaics can
be trimmed using any wet-saw with a diamond blade meant for porcelain
or glass tile. As the thin-set cures, wet the paper with a sponge, wait
5 minutes and peel off. Grout as you normally would with ceramic tile.

GROUT
Any color sanded grout mixed with 100% latex admix may be used. Be sure
to check the manufacturer’s specifications as they apply to your
installation. Because Water and Light Mosaics are translucent, the color
of the grout will impart some color to the glass, allowing Water and Light
Mosaics to blend with any color tile or stone. A grout sealer should be
used to seal your grout. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions
for use of their product.
UPKEEP
Water and Light Mosaics are non-pourous and may be cleaned with soap and
water or a non-abrasive, non-corrosive cleaner (e.g. Windex, Fantastic,
All-purpose citrus cleaner) applied with a standard, kitchen Scotchbrite
sponge.
